Massimo Furlan, Genevan performer, choreographer and specialist in biographical anecdotes, presents a theatrical portrait of the South African reggae singer Aura Msimang. The daughter of an anti-apartheid activist, she had to leave her country when still a child. Botswana, Congo, Great Britain, the US, Jamaica and Belgium are just some stopovers in her nomadic life. She toured with Jimmy Cliff and recorded with Bob Marley and the legendary Jamaican producer Lee Scratch Perry. Massimo Furlan and Claire de Ribaupierre simply allow this extraordinary woman to tell her story. An exemplary African tale of the townships in the Johannesburg from the fifties to contemporary times. (MB)
