In order to forget the fear, the tears.» This is the motto of the latest work by Compagnie N’Soleh, a choreographed homage to Africa’s most famous street of nightlife entertainment, Rue Princesse in Abidjan. Every night, poverty and misery transform themselves into glitter and sparkle as bodies move to the pulsating music of the war-torn Ivorian metropolis and the loud and electrifying ritual of self-assertion begins.
