Forty singers, scattered throughout the festival site, sing passages from Mozart’s requiem and improvise. Their voices are captured by Swiss sound wizard Tomek Kolczynski via radio. At the mixing table he samples them with electronic music and ambient sounds, recorded on site and subsequently defamiliarized, and creates a dense soundscape which engulfs the festival site three times that day. After their performances the singers disappear into the crowd while «hark!» resonates for a little while, reminding us of this dreamlike musical intervention before it is absorbed by the hustle and bustle of the festival again.
