Zürcher Theater Spektakel

Ten musicians, one sound engineer and a bunch of strange instruments: the Vienna Vegetable Orchestra makes music with instruments made out of vegetables. They charm sounds out of amplified potato flutes, celery bongos, cucumber trumpets and leek violins, creating a strictly vegetarian mix of hard beats, house, noise, dub, funk and free jazz. A multi­sensual event that is rounded off with a vegetable soup encore. (ron)
